Hello again everyone! I have recently had an Oberin craving as I remembered all the good times and subversive game play, and figured I would give it a try to emulate OS9 on my Windows laptop.
I extracted the files in a folder I named "Oberin" on my hard drive. Then, I followed the instructions and installed the "gtk+-2.10.13-setup" program. At one point it asked to name or not rename the files. I chose rename. Then, I tried to open sheepshaver but I got an error message. I thought it was because I should have chosen to not rename, so I deleted everything and started over, choosing to not rename in the gtk setup.o
Again I tried opening sheepshaver and I got a similar error window. It says:
"Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point pango_font_map_create_context could not be located in the dynamic link library libpango-1.0-0.dll."
Can anyone help me troubleshoot here?
Sorry for double post. Now the errors says "The CD-ROM driver "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\cdenable.sys" is missing." Any clues?
I'm not sure about the error message you mentioned in your first post, but whenever I use Windows Sheepshaver I always get the 'missing CD-ROM driver' message. I just press OK and Sheepshaver operates normally.
Apparently this error can happen if you also have a different version of GTK on your computer. I am running Basilisk II, another Mac emulator, and had the same error message. I searched C:\ for "GTK" and found that GTK was included in both GIMP and Wireshark, in addition to the package from gtk setup. After I uninstalled Wireshark, the error stopped (for some reason GIMP seems to play nice).
I didn't realize this was an answer to an older question. Sorry..
I still want to inlcude these links. It might help anyone looking for answers the subject title suggests:
