OMG I seldom have time thee days and suddenly the trolls appear! Somebody get them the hammer! BTW is there a slight chance to get Obie running on the latest Mac OS without that whole emulation stuff? My wallet is dry as the Sahara, so no way to get a legal copy of VM ware. I miss you folks a lot :)
I am finding the game rather laggy and with little freezes at the moment - is it me or is it because Obie has not been rebooted for a while? A Bracken I planted at Rebels' hall a couple of months ago is still there :)

Guild Deactivation Process by
17 Oct 2010 : 01:27
The list of guilds that have less that five players is getting rather large, so we are going to begin the process of deactivating guilds below the 5 member limit.
Please read the attached news story for more details and a list of affected guilds.
This is the process we will use to deactivate guilds:
Guilds with 4 members:
These guilds will be considered "in trouble". No changes can be made to the guild halls (new chests, temples, stables, guards, etc.), and they will have one month to bring the number of active players back up to 5. After one month, if the number of active players is not 5 or more the guild will be considered dead, the members will be untagged on sight, and the hall will be removed from the guild.
Guilds with 3 members or less and with a Guild Hall:
These guilds will be considered "in trouble". No changes can be made to the guild halls (new chests, temples, stables, guards, etc.), and they will have one month to bring the number of active members back up to 5. After one month, if the number of active members is not 5 or more the guild will be considered dead, the members will be untagged on sight, and the hall will be removed from the guild.
Guilds with 3 members or less and without a Guild Hall:
These guilds will be considered "dead" and members will be untagged on sight.

Oberin plague cleansed by
02 Apr 2009 : 12:09
After a whole night of dancing and chanting a single strange word, the clerics of Brigobaen managed to find a way to cleanse Oberin from the powerful plague that struck it. Men and women have been dispatched all around the lands to cast a purifying spell on all the infected.
Note that the clerics were ordered to cleanse every single infected of the curse, despite the anticipated strong protestations of some of the "newly created" ladies.
A powerful plague struck the lands of Oberin on this dark morning.
Very little is known about it, spare a very radical change of the
physical appearance of the infected.
The means of spreading of the plague are currently unknown, and
it seems too late to quarantine the infected. Brigobaen gathered its
best clerics to try and find a cure, to no avail so far.
**UPDATE** A note was found on the steps of Brigobaen's library
a few hours ago. Here is what it reads:
"Only by fully repenting for thy sins shall thou cure thyself of the infection. Only the god-granted knowledge of the Secret Word shall help thy rid thyself of the curse that stroke thou.
Thou shall make your way to the Old Hermit's lake, and fully repent for thy sins, while avoiding the serpent beasts.
Thou shall then pursue your pilgrimage in the temple of Mirith, doing a little boogie and chanting the Secret Word, three times.
Thou shall travel to the sacred city of Andris next, and there again heed to the temple, do a little boogie and chant the Secret Word, four times.
Thy next step lies in the temple of the city of Marali, doing the repenting boogie and chanting the Secret Word, five times at least.
Thou shall not give up hope, as thou travel to the temple of the fishing city of Lerilin, where the little boogie thou shall make, chanting the Secret Word, more times than in Mirith but less than in Andris.
Thou shall then travel back to the Old Hermit's house, and chant the Secret Word once. Only if thou strictly respected the pilgrimage then shall thou be cleansed of the plague.
Shall thy last travel fail to remove the curse, thou shall accept, and embrace, thy destiny."
