So we have many different types of dragons that are mostly the same, get my drift? I am proposing a fire dragon, a completely different and way more dangerous member of the dragon family.

Their dracos would be at lvl 11 or 12, and bite(and have more defense, for that matter) much harder than normal dracos. They also have more health, and we could possibly treat them as hill giants in terms of difficulty. As they are babies, the fire powers they possess have not been fully developed, so they are not so special in that regard.

Their older cousins, the dragons, would be about lvl 14 or 15. They bite extremely hard, and have a lot(i mean a LOT) of health. Here's where it gets interesting. Their firey powers have developed in to something, and every so often, they throw a fireball at the person they have targeted(or maybe it can be anyone Razz). This could be fireball lich style, and deals around the same damage.

The last one are the ancients, who are around lvl 17 or 18, have a little less health than the normals(think normal dragon health), but bite super super hard. The other thing that makes these things completely deadly, is that now that their fir powers have fully developed, they can dish out a fire wave every so often, equivalent to that of a magma golem.

Something to think about.

And for the last time, they are not tamable!

Why are you proposing more cookie-cut creatures, don't we have enough of them?

As do I, we don't need anymore insanely high level creatures. The game would be better off adding more creatures at levels 1-7 especially add more level 3 creatures. Currently we one have one creature as that level.

We already have red dragons that live in a volcano. I think this is already implemented. Wouldn't it be better to just make the dragons we do have more unique?

Or giving them magic powers? Wink If the magma golems can cast a field of fireballs, I see no reason for the smarter dragons not to do the same... Sure, the Ancients cast, as does one of the Ice Dragons. But I wouldn't be shocked if "normal" dragons knew more magery than an artificially created creature, as a rule.

Honestly, I don't understand why they don't cast spells. Also, I seem to remember hearing that dragons don't fly? I haven't seen one recently, but they should be able to fly, if they can't already.

@ Cassandra

Dragons should cast an assortment of wizard and cleric spells (imagine an almost dead dragon full healing itself Wink ).

There was a reason why regular dragons don't fly anymore that was explained a long time ago in a RTQ, but I don't remember it, Crassaur was the last dragon that was able to fly and his children were supposed to be able to fly too.

I'm a story-junkie. Oberin just happens to not only have lots of stories, but few people willing to tell them. Which, in a way, makes every tiny bit of information more treasured. Mostly when they are told IC. Wink

@ bobbinette

if dragons can't fly anymore due to some unexplained reason, then their graphics should indicate that (too small wings for flight perhaps?) but as the current graphics stand, you would think they were capable of flight since they have such huge wings.

You would also think every giant and hill giant would drop a club of power due to the indicated graphics...
