| Can you imagine pixie teleporting PEs or dracos around? :p |
correct me if i'm wrong, but can't you just not tell the pixie to attack these things?
anyway, as a rogue, i would get annoyed if my target suddenly got teleported away from me. but even so, i think pixies should still be able to do it. it just feels right, you know? chaos is part of who they are, their fun loving way of messing with things, and i really can't see them being willing to stop it just because a boss man tells them to. if you tried, i reckon they'd be more likely to turn on you ^^
also, shape shifting is still a work in progress. it may or may not be worth a DT now, but the final result most probably will be. no point in changing it for only a short time.
sorry... i keep forgetting i'm not a druid, and that my opinions don't mean anything. i'll stop bothering you now and let you get back to your important druid discussions *kiss* |

Short time? Do you know the time periods between updates (the shapeshifting will take it's time if it's supposed to be complex utility)? Man, stop making fun of me. @.@
And how does GMs want to test it, if no one will use it now? Really, the amount of coding to change one spell reagent is not that bad. |

Shapeshifting Issue: it does seem a tad bit too harsh but it would keep overuse/abuse of the spell. I personally agree with the cost of a DT, but would prefer changes to the duration and use of the spell.
Pixies: While they are strong, they are as what everyone has said already, "Companions". If a druid should take a Pixie onto a dangerous hunt or hunt in general, it reflects the poor choice of the druid in question and not a reason to make the pixies stronger or more useful in combat.
I think we both know which magical creatures should be tameable for use in combat Davon |

Awww. Don't make me cry about gapers and ant queens... This old wound still didn't fully heal up.
_______
Shapeshifting - abuse? 75 mana... You can abuse teleport spell much easier. I mean c'mon... It's not a *ber*, it would be nice if it would be used. Why not remove DT and add volcanic ash (like teleport). This spell in current form gives minor bonus and it's nice as role playing option. That's not another provocation, revive or fireball.
Remove the DT! ^^ |

| Yeah, the DT needs to be dropped, OR maybe make it so the spell lasts indefinitely (until death or the Druid decides to change back). |

It is, as an easy way for druids to get across the acid in the tower, but that's unrelated. |

I would like to know if Druids will now be banned from Andris, as they can change to animal form inside the city, and may well poop on the cobblestones out of spite for not being allowed their pets. |

Does anyone else think that maybe the pixies should be less abundant? Ok, give them their cave and place at the tower. But should they be so visible in the woods? They can make life as difficult as a gaper can if they appear in an unfortunate location with higher level creatures nearby. Which is ok but there is now an increased chance of meeting more magical creatures than ever before. Better integration is probably what is needed.
I think they can work in Lerilin replacing the existing gapers and perhaps even appear in small groups, no more than 3 at time, possibly 2.
Making them rarer elsewhere would sort of suit their nature I think. |

I ... am pleased to say that... I agree with Gawr.
As much as I love magic creatures, and invasion of pixies all of a sudden feels very strange. Surely there should be more IC to it, in that case?
Also, aren't they stronger and harder to kill than gapers? I might be paranoid, and haven't tested it by any scientific method, but I seem to be paralysed for longer. It could also be the frequency at which they cast the spell...
Anyway, please don't take this as a request for less magic creatures all around. Still love them all.
(Also, something I really really really love about pixies and gapers is the lack of a physical attack, with chaos being enough to get anyone on trouble. But that's another story.) |

| The general impression I got of them was that their para (and perhaps diso) is very strong, if they are meant to be a low-level magical creature. It all depends what role the developers want them to play, I suppose, but I certainly would not have wanted to run into them near other stuff when I was a young cleric. |

| By para being strong you mean the length of time that it lasts. How does it compare with that of the gaper. Personally I don't think it should last as long but it's a fine line. They have three direct attack spells none of which do that much damage (low-level-player input required) unless performed in quick succession which can happen if there are more than one of them. The spells they cast and the frequency I am ok with though. |
