I agree with Davin.
Pixies are companions and I love it. |

Fortunately, wizards usually like to discuss strategies.
As for the IC part. Where do these things come from? It does feel a bit like a mini-wizard... Just even more annoying after 5 sentences. |

Please please, let's return on topic:
Shapeshift spell - no DT cost, so it's actually used and not wasted spell used once per month to scare demo (make it impossible to be casted in cities like some damaging spells and there is no casting of it over and over at bank - there are other solutions to prevent misusing other than using DT reagent and making it a waste...).
Pixie - making it less "chaos" and more useful for groups, especially considering dungeons.
Thanks. |

Ok, what level is the shapeshifting spell, and if it's lvl 10, I propose it gets knocked down to level 9
This is normally the point where i'd put 'Seriously, though...' Blah blah blah, however I only just got the update so I need to play around a bit and the only reason i'm still typing is because I'm scared if i'm stop ill snap my own fingers off out of curiosity... |

I haven't had a chance to play around with a Pixie yet, but I doubt I would actually bother having one. I guess I can accept it being 'tameable' although it would almost be the wrong word, as someone mentioned, it would seem very much more like a companion of equal standing with the Druid.
The only thing I'm not entirely sure about is having a level 4 creature requiring level 10 Taming but maybe I'm just old fashioned and like things to be standardised (I get the reasoning - Pixies being intelligent and thus harder to 'tame'). It surely gives Druids something to aim for, in a way but I'm still not convinced they'll be much use, and may even be a nuisance unless Davon's suggestion regarding spells is added. I do love the Pixie as a creature though, smashing idea.
Shapeshifting is all thumbs up, maybe allow higher levels to have access to a slightly wider range of creatures, and I don't mean anything too powerful just a little more variety. Actually I think it's important the Shapeshift spell doesn't give access to anything too powerful but it used in a more tactical sense, as after all, Druids are all about the tactics |

By the way, i just realised a problem with taking away pixie's chaos field, or even making it less likely. It will then either be impossible, or take hours, for a hunting party to get through the tower until the next update, when you guys believe a bridge should be added. I find the only way of getting across if you are not a druid really fun. It was extremely humorous to watch every one hold their breath as leiland, punit bene, and REDMAN waited to get chaosed to the other side, and occasionally get teleported somewhere they DIDN'T want to end up. It was great. We even got a red message saying, "Druids suck ".(then after we said, "Jail that GM,", another red message came up:" Kidding "). |

I never told "wild" pixies should lose chaos spell. Just the "tamed" ones. |

As Jinker and some other GMs have said, at this stage the shapeshifting spell is under testing, and has alot to be tweaked. I didnt actuall find any change to my damage or armor when i did transform, just my image changed and my name.
I am looking forward to the full potential of this spell, and cant wait to see what it has in store!
As for the pixies, i still yet to have a play around with them! |

I don't think the tamed ones should have chaos. Nope, I have no argument, I just think it would be nicer if they didn't |

I would bet bag of gold on fact that while shapeshifted you do damage of the creature you shapeshift into. I did some testing and of course best possible shapeshift is wolf. I certainly do best damage in this form (better than harp or AE) and surely better damage than by wrestling.
Anyway remove the DT cost please. The spell in current form will not be used otherwise, I stand by that. |

| If the wild ones have chaos why would they lose the knowledge of the spell when they get tamed? There's no logic to that. |

No no... It's more like agreement between druid and his pixie. Well it would be. Please please, don't cast chaos! Other people in group hates me for it!
The spell kills using of pixies in dungeons. Can you imagine pixie teleporting PEs or dracos around? :p
But:
As compromise with anyone I can accept leaving pixies as they are if the DT cost of shapeshifting will be removed. That's a compromise which would make me happy. |

but what if some druids (I can see the case for keeping it in certain situations) want their pixie to be all chaotic.
Your pixie would have to defy for it to do that in a dungeon. So play carefully don't let it happen. Consequence.
I agree with the DT cost for shifting shape. |
