Post subject: cant log on after game froze

I actually dont know if this is bug related or something else. Anyway, i was hunting in Adris and suddenly game froze. I waited some time and then tried that usually successful log out log in. After i had logged out i couldnt log back in, and i thougt that it was a server related problem. Anyway after an hour of failures or so, i heard from other players that they had been playing all the time. Still i cant log on. I tried to log on from another computer too but same thing there (meaning there should be no problem with the client file or computer atleast and network is ok since i can brows web and use AIM)
I think there was some similar thing going on long time ago, that people couldnt get online after restarting game, but i'm not sure.
Is it a bug, server/router problem or am i banned? can't come up with many more options. |

| Still not able to log in, neither on juff or juffson. I'll try downloading new version or something after work when i have time, but i'm afraid it wont work since i had same result on by both computers. |

| that happens to me sometime... it may be a problem with you quitting the program but your character not being fully logged out... esep if a creature was targeting you.... |

now after 16 hours of inactivity i could finally log in, as a ghost. Better wake up as a ghost, however, than not wake up at all; I saw all sorts of scenarios before my head. The reason for the problems remains a mystery however. I had not changed anything on the computer or network before successfully logging in. Could it be that my adsl forgot the servers IP address after game froze? Or some kind of mechanics that locked my ip out for a while?
Anyone had similar problems? Skyler, how long did you have to wait to get online again? It is quite possible i got targetted as the game froze.
Case closed? |

| What I don't understand is that the game freezes - but why do the creatures not freeze as well? Seems odd to me why this would happen. Is the game frozen or ...? |

Not sure if i understood you, since i have a silly answer  if net traffic stops between the two nodes the server freezes even if server still works fine and the rat kills you |

Ive had that happen, after about 30 minutes though i was in  So nothing as bad as your end... thank god I had Gwyn stand on my corpse.. ive died twice in 2 days due to screen freezing (blasted Giant Snakes! lol) |
