38th Day of the Waking Moon, Year 438

One bad corpse can ruin your whole day and noone knows that better then the adventurers witnessing the horror of a Lich running through the city of Mirith spawning skeletons. A lot of us had only recently returned from defending Lerilin against an undead rising at the local cemetery, and we were now faced with another battle against this walking plague.

We gathered outside the Mirith Cemetry where we were greeted by the Lich.

ěGo away!, you smell of lifeî the Lich said before letting out a spine chilling laugh.

This was only the second time in my life where I had battled a Lich. Terrifying creatures they are. It's grey face and blackened eyes can make any great warrior want to turn and run, however we all held our ground, while the plates on the front line tried to distinguish the fires blocking our entrance into the cemetery.

ěWell then, come in and die.... die well mortalsî the Lich said as its lifeless corpse retreated from the cemetery gates.

Stomping the fires out, our group moved forward. I hadn't taken more then two steps in when I saw the undead army this unholy beast had summoned. The foul smell of the dead was overpowering as Skeletons, Zombies and Bone Mages staggered toward us. The battle was gruesome. The undead were dropping fast and with each wave of fallen bodies, a new one appeared. The warriors continued to fight bravely and the clerics worked double time trying to keep up with the healing.

Once this unholy army was put to rest, we all descended into the crypt to destroy the Lich. We soon saw that the Lich had blocked off a corner of the crypt with fire so we could not enter. It gave the clerics some time to restock potions while the plates once again tried to distinguish the flames.

The final battle against the Lich was tough. As soon as the fires were put out, chaos erupted all around us. The warriors boxed the Lich in and delivered heavy hits with there blades. This tactic worked extremely well until the Lich teleported warriors around the crypt and escaped from our clutches. With a diabolical Lich running loose nothing good comes of it and soon warriors and pets fell to its powerful fireballs. The Lich continued to spawn skeletons and escaped up the ladder into the cemetery where the group soon followed.

Regrouping and restocking more potions, We were all so tired from the long battle but we continued on. The warriors boxed in the Lich once again and there blades sliced at the creature. With every blow the warriors landed, the Lich would heal itself. This only made us fight harder as we were all determined to put this beast back into the ground. Halfway through this fight the Blue-Plated warrior Alica appeared. She had seen the battle while passing by the cemetery and decided to help. With such a powerful warrior now battling along side with us the Lich died quickly.

Alica bid us farewell as we all thanked her, and we returned to Mirith to split the loot. Adventurers may need to keep an eye open for any other strange activities in the other cities cemeteries.

Adventurers included: Sam, Rolyat, Lavena, Leha, Whisp, Euchra, Serancha, Sobiya, Vipetha, Kenneth, Draeto, Dracilus, Phinn, Eitan & Nylesse. (appologies if i have left anyone off the list)

(*edit in - Hope you don't mind me tagging in this part two of cemetery activity on your thread. It seemes relevant to time an location. You got lich, we got robed brigands -with unresolved deals, and dragons with robe class.. and a necromancer still at large -*)

Rygarth told me this story as he passed out, so I wrote it down as he spoke it, He trailed off at the end. I am happy that all I do is enchant crystals at this point in my life. -Mirg the Enchanter

I had been a fugitive from the Mirith Jail, after a clumsy jail break, and fled to a small port town. When the coast was clear, so to say, I made my way back up to Mirith. I had hoped to flit in and out for a banking transaction. As I passed the Mirith Cemetery, I saw the gate had been barricaded by bonfires, with all kinds of bustling activity inside.

I prayed my feet to carry me swiftly to the bank, as a bolt arched over the cemetery fence from a living tree and jolted me. Luckily there were people gathered at the bank of Mirith, who quickly prepared to investigate the disruption. Some feared of Lichs, but what awaited jolted them all.

A group of brute reckoning gathered at the gates of the cemetery and endured errant bolts from the Brackens. That is when a Brigand Mage and a Brigand Cleric made themselves known. They taunted from their 'safety' inside the cemetery, on their side of the bonfire blockade.

These nefarious characters seemed to be recognized by members of out brigade. Some confusing arguments broke out as the bonfires burned down. The battle began when the first fire burned low enough to cross.

Bone Mages and Pixies did their best, in the foray that included zombies and skeletons, to slay the adventurers. Brigands and Mercenaries ran about, in all their own deviousness. The enemies of the adventurers began to fall, as did the shelters of the people aligned with such strange dark spawnings.

Some of our party fell into the grey, myself included, as the Bone Mages wreaked shear havok. Needless to say, we are all blessed by the presence of clerics at all times.

We battled our way toward the crypt, trying to destroy all enemies. After much battle, in glorious chaos, we found ourselves blocked, by bonfires, off from the Eastern corner of the cemetery. We stood at the building of the crypt, blocked by bonfires again. Surely there was an intelligent force working against us.

With the shelters of their conscripted protectors in shambles, the Brigand Mage and Brigand Cleric watched us set their magic beasts to rest in the blood of their hired brigands and mercenaries from the their place in the building of crypt.

The bonfires, that emboldened the taunts of the robed brigands with protection, eventually burned down. Then they fled into the crypt. Relentless, the adventurers followed.

After a seemingly endless onslaught of Bone Mages and Rust Beasts, the party cornered the brigand robes.

We slayed the Brigand Cleric and the Cleric Mage. Then a Necromancer arrived. We were all exhausted and fled to recover, as the Necromancer paralyzed anyone in hitting range and we were all battle weary.

After replenishing, there was a battle against a Dragon Mage, that I missed, and a battle against a Dragon Cleric.

Oh, and we talked with a Royal Mirith Scout.

The Necromancer is still at large... and it may have resurrected the brigand mage and cleric.

Then I found myself floating in the stars... wieghtless.. with no body... and no voice.
