Seems I've been missing these attacks upon our world lately of brigands and mercenary. I keep hearing that one after another place is being attack and now more specifically, Duldrus, my home.

Today I went to go to the rock maze for some solo fun as I do every day lately, when I found human tracks leading it's way along the coast towards the Ice Dungeon, my home away from home. I stumbled upon a great fortress up against the rock walls right before you head off into the sea to the Ice Dungeon. It was full of brigands and mercenary, my guess around 150 in total.

I sent word to Octar who in turn called his Vanguard and the Rebels. With more people finding the tracks and those two groups call more to help, we had a good band of people to take down this fort.

The fight was soon on when we fortified ourselves. I immediately started blasting the enemy with lighting bolts to ensure that they were controlled in numbers, plan worked. We quickly moved into their encampment and began taking them down. A few people died throughout the fight, as to be expected but were ressed to rejoin the fight.

We were attacked from behind at one point but to no avail. I began using to many full healing potions which was telling me the clerics had to much to do and so I went into "kill" mode. I striped down my armor and redressed myself in my natural garment and began hunting those that were separated from their own group and baiting those that weren't. One by one I began to kill them outside while the others kept slashing and hacking away from the inside. We eventually met in the middle where the decimation of the fort could be seen by us.

We began to hear screams of horror and then a human with nothing on ran past us and out of the fort. We then saw in the corner a massacre of unspeakable mutilation to some humans. Some on pikes, others on the ground hacked up and slashed. The clerics made their prayers to them and the gods.

After cleaning up and splitting up the spoils, we headed out when we heard the screams again. We could only assume it was the human that ran out, so we gave chase to him all the way to Duldrus where we found him dead.

Dear Cryic,

I found these quick sketches and thought I would mail these too you. Octar said you might enjoy them.

Sorry the healing was so rough, but only two clerics to heal on this was brutal and impossible.

Regards,

Borti II

No apologies needed friend, I understand the heartaches of clerics.
