| The Nethers GH could be used by anyone after the Guild fell apart, I thought it was quite a nice touch to keep some of the more prominent Guild's old Halls around (I understand they couldn't all be) to be used by wandering travellers and/or to give Oberin a bit of history/lore. Would have been cool to see them slowly turn to ruin with each map update. |

while we're at it, why not give guild halls the power to buy chests and put them just outside the hall, where anyone can get to them?

| yeah i suppose that'd be possible, and it would be nice to give GH's that old feeling of slowly being reduced to what the MR is. If we had the map spce i'd also suggest that GHs could make their own little dungeon, to become inhabited by things when the GH falls in to disrepair, but since we don't have the map space, it's not an idea that could come in to effect in the near future. |

| I like the idea a lot. Also a great idea for clerics and druids to drop a bajillion potions in. A nice refresher in the middle of a hunt! |

| Oh this reminds me. What was up with that note that said 'Public Chest' just outside the Mirith bank? |

I remember seeing the divine red text saying that Public chests would be placed in Lerilin and Mirith as a test. Though it was said they wouldn't be there now, but eventually. I read the note too and assumed that's where they would be put.
Some people started putting stuff in the invisible chests Myself included before realizing it really was just a note and not a surrogate chest...

So far though I like this idea, as long as people don't get greedy and take only what they absolutely need. I guess that above all other questionable factors, that could potentially be the downfall of this idea, but we'll have to see how it goes? I'm all for it at the moment |

| I think people getting greedy isn't the most of Obie's worries. From my time here all i've seen is that we're just not that type of community. I'm sure we'll do fine ^^ |

Oh ha didn't really think that through I suppose, you're probably right
I think I just imagined a post demo fighter walking over it and picking up mounds of generously donated ash and poison glands, RoR/RoP's and the likes and leaving some poor mage in the dust behind him as he trots off to try and walk to Duldrus or something XD
But no really, you're totally right We'll do fine ^^ And I am now even more pro Public Chesties! |

Well that's the thing: If you put something in the public chest in the first place, you must not want it, right? So if you don't want it, then I don't think it would be a problem if someone else comes and takes all of it. I'll finally have somewhere to dump all my Empty Bottles when there are no clerics around |

I'd definitely like the ability to have one outside Guild Halls.
Would give potioners a reason to just stand there dumping them in the chest. You can't take more than 20 at a time anyway, so they would actually be used. My Guild Hall would probably stay at 1,000 or so of each of the potions all the time.
I'd probably also leave a couple suits of armor there.
Yes, there would be some extra RoPs and RoRs, and perhaps there is a possible issue with people just stealing and selling.
But how nice would it be to be out in the woods, come to a Guild Hall, and restock your potions, swap out a couple pieces of armor, maybe grab a little food? IC it makes sense. You can't tell me that my guards are going to turn away a weary traveler. They're not going to give away my MPRs, but they would surely hand out potions and food and replacement shields. It's the right thing to do. |

A guildhall public chest is an awesome idea. It needs to be implemented just as soon as the swamp-zombie project is completed |

Yes I'm a big fan of this idea now
And there should be one in that Fishing Shack (see Roleplaying forum) too. I'd dump my unwanted fish in there for Razan |

Heheh, well said Clem!
No no Jedd, you can just dump those in the DG public chest when we get one... it's quite a long walk from the fishing shack :/ |

DG's quite a long way from CoF :/
But it's worth it
Whenever I hear DG I think of Zackie and Jastherin's old guild. You had me confused for a second |
