Clirseit was giving a last look at the note hanging on the bank board. The long delayed project at finally begun.
He turned back and handed a couple of copies to the messengers.
"Please, bring these to the foreign cities".
The man nodded and left. Feeling a little relieved the old wizard went for a rest.
Behind him the note remained :
The Andris Vanguard is looking for new blood.
If you love our city, have a sharped mind and a natural gift for debate there may be a place for you in our new organization.
Whatever your other talents are they will surely be on opportunities to share and experiment it in our many missions to inform, serve and protect the Senate, Andris and Oberin.
We are looking for some gifted souls for foreign advisor, non-human embassy, tactician and some other tricky functions.
If you wish to help us fulfilling our vision for Oberin please introduce yourself to Elsbeta Balloc or Clirseit.

| Gawr looked at the note, scratched his chin and thought for a moment. He packed a small bag of food and with a determined stride made off in the direction of Andris. |

| After reading the note, Shadran packs up his spell book and other items saying to himself "Hmm it is time to head back home I think." He throws on his red over cloak and heads to the nearest portal with red pure in hand. |

| Fuoco lingers in front of the note and sighs: "I do hope Clirseit and Elsbeta get the people Andris deserves", she mutters to herself... "I am just an honorary member and they need dedicated soldiers and strategists". Her attention is distracted by a gardener clipping the hedge and she nods in approval - the man knows his job! A faint smell of home baked gingerbread lingers in the air. Fuoco's face broadens into a smile as she gets her work out of the satchel. |

Hania looks at the note. "Hee hee hee hee HEEEE! This is what I was waiting for!"
The old man who aged quite quickly for some wierd reason hobbles down a road towards Andris. "Come on Hazar! It's time to join a new family that will allow us to sleep in their houses until we finally die!"
A large. old hell hound jumps out of the woods and follow Hania, wagging his tail.
((Er... Hi... I am not gonna be coming back for a while at least... but it has always kinda been a hope and dream of mine to get Hania into the Andris Vanguard... So I was hoping maybe Hania could rest in the guild for a while? If you need me to log on and do some stuff... just let me know. And if you ever want to hunt, send a message or something and I will log on. As long as it is roleplayed... and roleplayed nicely. )) |

Clirseit was waken up by the barking of a dog.
This sound strange in the empty hall. The old man stepped slowly out of his rest to meet a great old Hell Hound in the Hall stable.
The wizard could not stop a smile. The stable hasn't had the many visits for so long
He offered a fresh steak to the beast while taking the message around his neck.
Hhhhmm. This may be interesting. He thought.
Please greets your master, child of Andris, and tell him we will study his application. Elsbeta and I will be glad to interview you briefly whenever you're hanging around.
Clirseit caressed the hound neck. The great dog let out a small bark and ran back in the forest. |

| Karm reads the message slowly. Hardly believing her eyes. Andris... recruiting. Wishing to join she sets out from her small home town of Lerilin, arriving in Andris to find no members of their Vanguard. "I shall wait, for surly one of them must wake from a long slumber sooner or later, yes?" after waiting many nights Karm decides to etch a message into the bank wall. Her message reads "I do be devoted to the Druidic arts, few minds are as strong or swift as mine. I do believe that I deserve a place within the find Vanguard of the Great City of Andris. Signed, Karm. With that short message, she left to hunt down the cursed trees known as braken. |

"I need a thousand ginseng, two hundred garlic, and four hundred lotus flowers please, Frebeth." I check my list and make sure I hadn't forgotten anything, then stand against the wall, deciding that I can just wait for them to finish packing it up. It wasn't a very big order anyway. Absentmindedly, I take out a couple of gingerbread cookies and munch on them, thinking about what I could have done better in that last tower hunt. Frebeth and his assistant work quickly, and soon my order is wrapped and ready. Dropping my coins on the counter, I wave and smile at them in thanks.
When I arrive at the bank, there is a sizable pile of dust at part of the wall. Upon closer inspection, I see what had caused it. "Hm. I wonder if this Karm will get in to the Vanguard after having defaced the wall of the bank. I'm sure he or she could have gotten some paper inside from the banker..." Shaking my head, I decide this isn't any of my business and move inside to my bank chest to stow away my newly acquired reagents and take out a few empty bottles to fill. As I leave, there is a man walking in the direction of the dust pile. I recognize him as one of the masons of the town. He stops in front of the pile, presumably assessing the damage, and begins his work. |

The wizard happens to walk past a part of the bank which is not her usual route and spots the note on the wall... it seems the handwriting of somebody young in years. A smile appears on her face as she sees the signature "Ah, Karm" she says to herself "these young people are yet to learn the ways of the world".
She cleans the wall as best as she can then returns to the inn and sits at her desk. After gathering her writing materials, she jots a note to the druid:
Dear Karm,
I was surprised to hear of your enthusiasm for the vanguard of this noble city and I wish you had spoken to me when we last met, but I guess the surprise attack on the part of Privateers must have diverted (and with reason) your thoughts. As a honorary member of the vanguard of Andris, I can undertake to make your interest known to their leader and my trusted friend Clirseit, the mage of the Red City.
I know the young are eager and impatient, but please bear with me whilst I endeavour to present your case to the interested parties - they shall need to be assured that you are fit for this illustrious post - I do not doubt your courage and shall tell them as much.
Until we meet again,
Yours sincerely,
Fuoco |

My dear friend,
it has been a while. Time pass fast. I have been so busy and in the meantime I neglected my duty. But never mind I could only work twice more to mend it.
I received a note from a young druid named Karm who offered to join our noble house. Unfortunetaly her words get to me lately and I fear I missed her in the city.
I heard you may know this young mage and I will be glad to hear your opinion. I also send a parchment to Elsbeta to inform.
Greets your Niece and her husband.
I hope to see you all well soon

Dearest Sir,
I shall be pleased to discuss this young druid with you at your earliest convenience - she is herself away on a long trip at present but in the meantime I shall answer any questions from yourself as best as I can.
It is a great joy to hear from you again and I do look forward to seeing my good friend in Andris. I shall pass your greetings to Rosina and Gawr, who are currently in Marali - they will be glad that you have remembered them.
Yours sincerely,
Fuoco |

Karm, having heard from the Wizard Fuoco that Clirseit had been in search of her, writes quickly. Her eyes drooping
Dear Clirseit,
Sorry that I have missed your attempts to reach me within the walls of Andris. As I hear Madam Fuoco has informed you, I was away on a long journey. I have returned this very morn to our lands. You may find me many days near the Cemetery in Lerilin, or the Braken Groves of Andris. If not, my sister Eliposin, or brother Bradley, will be able to point you in the correct direction.
In Service to the People,
Karm
Putting the letter into a neat roll, tying it off with a simple swath of red cloth. She goes forth unto the gate and calls her Spider of the Sand to carry her words to the good Mage. |

Dear Senators,
we are glad to tell you we received an interesting application to the Andris Vanguard.
Young druid Karm seems to be a promising and valuable Druid. Elsbeta and myself have a very positive opinion on this lady and would be glad to accept her help in protecting our noble city.
We will be at your disposal to discuss the matter and hear your own opinion.
Your faithfull
Clirseit |

Chloe a young but hopping to get better cleric reads the note of Vangaurd recruitment and pens this note...
Dear Sir,
I have read the note about recruitment, and with great zeal i wish to serve my new home of Andris. I have spoke with my friend Fuoco about this, and with her guidance i am writing you to place forward my name as a interested applicant. I reside in andris and can be found at the bank or in the braken fields.
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and happiness, and hope at the very least to make some new friends .
Very respectfully,
Chloe
Having finished the letter she took it to the Vanguard GH and placed it under the door . |

* A letter is posted on the wall of the Andris Vanguard hall *
Hello, some of you may know me. I was a member of the Whe'tang guild in Marali, however it has recently been disbanded. Now I am looking for a new home perhaps at the Andris Vanguard.
Please do let me know if there is a place available,
I have spoken with Alys briefly, but I don't know who to speak to now.
Sincerely, Shvin. |
