The new neat looking candles made me remember ye olde folksy stories of disturbed spirits and disembodied blinky lights on foggy nights.

The Will-O-Wisp (or Corpse Candle) would be a low level magic creature that would look like a few bobbing and glowing lights or a floating candle. It would move really slowly (think Giant Snail with ADD) and it would not change it's natural movement for any real reason. It would not chase targeted people. It would also be about as harmless as harmless gets being only able to cast Simple Mind, Clumsy, Weaken, and Disorientation. It couldn't actually do physical damage nor be damaged physically because there is no real physical form. The best way to dispel a Will-O-Wisp is by casting Turn Undead. (I suppose you can broaden it a bit and claim Drain Mana will Drain it's energy away being that that is all it is... and Calm would ease the restless spirit back to whence it came.) I don't imagine it would have any treasure to speak of, but some stories claimed that where you saw a Will-O-Wisp, there was buried treasure.

Obviously it could only appear at night and would roam typical haunted places.

I would be also be thrilled if this creature was more of a background effect rather than an actual creature. I think it would look cool.

This would be a fun addition to the smaller cemeteries, and perhaps the outside of Aborek

A similar idea to this was proposed a long long time ago, in the thread class monsters. Coming out at night, TU being a way to kill it, it's almost exactly the same. The reason those ideas were shot down was becvause those may have been hard to implement. I won't bother digging up the thread, i've already done so 1000 times. I'm not saying there isn't an idea there, only that it may need to be changed... As to how, i couldn't even begin to think how, but i know there is a way.... Keep coming up with ideas on this and we may get somethjing not too hjard to implement that jinker likes. *super hopeful*
