Andris, day 20 of the Waking moon.

At the beginning of a hunt between Flingee, Fuoco, me, and Gawr (Later others), brigands were found not too far N of Andris. There were two shelters and a chest, which looked like it was frozen.

Quote from Flingee after destroying of shelters:
Quote:
Why are Brigands being so bold now? They are setting up shelters closer to cities all the time.

There was only food in the shelters, so we apparently killed the chef in there, which made Gawr happy enough...

Now Andris!

Like Tyler described there were again brigand tribes outside north of Andris. No brigand mage to see still though.

In the chest they let gold, pies and an Ice crystal.

We came up with our small party and all went well. We counted 16 heads! Again a strike against those nasty folks.

Well done Tyler

Some days ago - still while sleeping moon - on a walk to help a friend to get a sand spider we met SW (south west) of the Mirithian cemetery between the rock formations again a group of the brigands!
One of them -a spy- hid from us and listened along the rock. I dont know what he expected but as i tracked him up i saw the danger for our young adventurer.

What a stroke of luck no one of us died. We will still look out and try to have the pathes free from these foul bandits!

Day 46, Waking moon

Another brigand attack at Andris. Similar to the last one at Andris, it was NW at the beach. Me, Neblin, and Marlick were hunting when we found some brigands and later scouted the shelter.
10 heads collected, and just food and GP in the shelter. In the chest though, we counted 5000 GP, Dagger of Power, and black/purple RoPs.

Day 48, Waking Moon. Sophina, Torja and myself encountered brigands with a small shelter just NE of Brigobean temple. We dispatched them with ease and found 3 treasures - each useful to one of us. 9 Heads collected.

Day 49, Waking Moon. Our trio had met up with Sino and were visiting the special items trader in the Wall of Trees. We were again attacked by brigands, however there was no shelter to be seen. We did not do a large search for them, however, due to powerful magic in the air and strange spawnings and tracks in the area. We do not know what the tracks were from, but Sophina assured me they could not have been from the Brigands. The magic faded as we approached Marali. We did not find the source. 5 heads were collected in this strange encounter.

The Wizard Adrienne raised the alarm today after meeting some Brigands on the road between Mirith and its portal. After a brief search, she then found tracks at the west gate. The scouting party was suddenly met with a large force of Brigands, and three shelters, only a few minutes walk from Mirith itself, and were hard put to for a while. Reinforcements soon arrived, fortunately, and after a wild and swift battle, 41 Brigands lay dead. Honourable mention must go to Yahyad the Ranger who lost his life in the initial onslaught, but who was soon restored and returned to the fray. A glittering prize was found in one of the shelters...

On or about day 79 of the Waking Moon:

A rather large group of us were lounging and crafting at the Mirith bank steps - talking about adventures earlier in the day at Ice Dungeon (apparently it was a mayhemic fracas-ridden trip which included several groans in the telling Wink ), complaining of the weather, trading nuggets of information of our different trades, etc., when Yahyad reported there were tracks at the west gate.

Tracks at the West Gate! I dropped my crafting supplies and quickly donned my battle gear, forgetting to do my repairs in the rush to adventure. At the gate the tracks led us to the Northwest - a short way just before the Rock Maze Yahyad and I saw several suspicious humans. There were several of us and I will likely forget some names but some that joined in were Sino, Antonius, Eleswyr, Memna and Laricen.

Three Shelters! and about 40 brigands in all. Blood all over. Tired. Disorientated. At one point I was totally surrounded and locked in with all the barbarians focused on my death. I drank like there was no tomorrow until a spot opened up for me to squeak out.

The battlefield is rarely an orderly event so there were clerics running from brigands and brigands popping up anew from the shelters by what looked by the dozens at the time. In an adrenaline state of mind my sight tends to double, along with all the potion drinking I mistakenly knocked back an ale.

Considering the massive assault, we did well in sending them to their maker. There were some unfortunate casualties but all in all an almost flawless victory on our part.

The one shelter I peeked into had nothing but food - those brigands are gluttons and eat far too much, perhaps that is why they couldn't perform better on their full and bloated burping bellies.

Laricen unlocked a chest and low and behold one of the treasures was a silver leaf! A silver leaf! So we lined up and shared the booty of bloody and raggedy necked heads, some gold and a lottery was set up for The Prize.

Memna was the lucky winner of the silver leaf - we congratulated her on her windfall and each other on a job well done.

Day 107, Waking Moon.

Tamzin, Katiya and I were heading north from Mirith towards the tree maze when we encountered 15 brigands with a shelter in the forest. They were a rich band, with a chest containing 5000gp, a Short Bow of Power, Sickle of Speed, and a black Robe of Protection. Kind of them to have provided one treasure to suit each of us.

Day 145, Waking Moon

Having just traded in 2 Holy Daggers at Brigobean, I emerged to meet my traveling companion Fin Uraf. Only a dozen steps from the entrance to the temple, we found each other. Much to our surprise, we also found a shelter containing 5 brigands!!! They were a small but violent bunch, but we took them out - Fin's venomous backstab saving my hide a couple of times, as the swordplay of the brigs had overpowered my young pet.

The compensation was worth the battle though. 10,000gp, a RoP (black - my color) and a dagger of durability for Fin. A goodly supply of lobster and ale was enough to sustain us for the remainder of our journey. A stop by the volcano provided me with a Lava Spider to replace the pet I had lost. These brigs are getting too sure of themselves!!!

Day 3/4, Growing Moon

Encountered a lone brigand scout at Port Gast. Cut his head.
Observed Port Gast and the surrounding area until the next morning. Nothing happened.
Told the guards to take care next time.

Regards,

Day 5, Growing Moon

After an exciting trip across the forest, Calavera, Janter, Mackenna, and I stopped in Port Gast for repairs and a bite to eat. I noticed activity on the docks, but figured it was the fishing fleet coming in for their lunch as well. However, Janter's sharp eye caught sight of a brigand who was checking the defenses of the town. We rushed down to the docks and dispatched the band as they were disembarking from their rafts. 9 heads were collected in all.

Mackenna then told of a very similar encounter just the previous day, also at the Port Gast docks That was most likely before Rheus spotted the lone scout reported above. No shelters were found in either encounter.

With these reports in hand, we decided to try and discern where these brigands were coming from. We checked all 3 channel islands as well as the Lerilin coastline around Brigobane, yet found no signs of any human activity. No tracks were seen around Port Gast, so wherever these brigands are coming from, they have not yet succeeded in making landfall.

Relaxed against a pillar in Mirith bank, Calavera grins while tired eyes peruse Serancha's report. Fuzzy images of herself running circles around Gast's docks, giggling, stumbling dodging trees, and trying not to spill her ale came to mind, several brigands hot on her heels. About half of the ragtag group had placed the drunken rogue as an easy target for quick elimination, but Cala hadn't really minded playing decoy while her friends easily picked off her pursuers. It wasn't every day that groups of men feverently chased her around.

Smiling, the rogue reached for her water jug. *What a night.*

More of the blighters! Whilst rescuing Bremden on the Mirith road, Winzee, Mliza and Antoninus came upon a single lost-looking Brigand chap. He soon regretted wandering too far, no doubt in search of pies. A brief distance away tracks were found leading back towards Mirith from Lerilin. We soon found ourselves in the thick of a band of rather overweight Brigands, many of whom fell swiftly. Three of the dastards took advantage of a moment of distraction by Antoninus and gave him a fatal beating, but order was soon restored and the shelter burned. Close by was a chest with an array of weapons and robes. Mliza wisely noted that the brigands are rather foolish, building a camp right on the main road, but I say, "long may their stupidity continue!"

The journey was a long one but I expected my hammer and swift feet to carry me through to Mirith. Just as I thought that I would make it to my destination, a confusion swept over me as a Bone Mage taunted that it would take my soul. Then a crowd of fearful beasts made of living Air surrounded me and all went black. I was a ghost lingering over my corpse. The fateful winds must have carried a message because Antoninus soon stood above my corpse and I was alive again, thanks to the Divine Power. Then the Ranger Milza caught the trail of those lumbering bandits and we were off on the greatest quest of my fighting career. Tracking west to the choke point in the road, a half a dozen bandits and a smelly hill giant blocked our path. After fearsome combat they could not stand before our stout company and soon their shelter was in ruins. I thank the fates and my kind rescuers for the adventure of a lifetime.

day 53, growing moon.
I was at the lerilin bank, calmly making potions, when suddenly i heard yells from the docks. I went to see what the noise was with brictus, and i found marlick and vulin fighting off a large group of brigands. We fought them, then the battle went to the sea, and i couldn't follow, as my pet didnt have a raft. Vulin came back, saying that the brigands had fled when he killed the leader, who had black plate. We found some tracks, but we couldn't tell where they went, so we went to see the town. Then vulin thought that they might be on west coast (coughGMgavehimasignalabouttrackscough) but he didn't see anything there, so as we went towards the east coast, i thought that vulin had lost his mind, because he said he had "received a sign" that he didn't see anything. So we found more traks just above the cemetery, which lead to some debris, which leiland, who had joined us, cleverly found. We looked around and went to the border of the world, ut we had lost the trail...

We went to port gast, seemingly the most likely place for a boat to land, but we found nothing. So now, i warn all obernites.
