Sooo, a new update huh?
Things are happening now as well?
Amazing. I am exited to hear all this, don't get me wrong. But it feels like more of a fix than an update.
Now I know that this is only a micro update but still...
New food items, new fish etc. etc. Well it feels like this could have been implemented long ago. Now I don't know anything about programming but wouldn't it be a simple matter of editing the values of some previous items?
Black ferrite. Nice, but I just saw a market dip in the price of black items.
Gray dye. No complaints here, except that this should probably have been there from the start.
An expansion (new?) dungeon. I am more exited over this one, and exploring the new dungeon will keep many entertained for a long time. But eventually it is going to run out. Yeah it will still be exiting to go into the new dungeon, but people will have explored it, and it will lack mystery.
Rogues backstab weakened? Thank god, but another game fix. A much needed one yes, but it should have been implemented long ago in my opinion.
New graphics. Now these can take a while to create, and well... No complaints here
In short, it doesn't feel like an update. It feels like a patch with some extra things thrown in to say sorry.
Now I haven't actually tried it yet, only read the features page but still. Not brimming with joy.
I love the fact that the Devs are up to things, and I love the fact that they have finally fixed some of the issues plaguing obie.
I just don't feel very excited about this update. I appreciate it but it just does nothing for me in terms of happiness.
I guess I would like to hear what the devs are planning for the next big update. I am happy to wait for it. I know what I would like to see in it (and it is simple).
1) A fixed oberin economy. Gold still has no value. If there was only a set amount of gold though...... ;)
2) Procedurally generated content. That is to say, a randomly generated dungeon. Only one. It can be simple as hell. But so that it is never the same way and two months in a row or something. With increasing difficulties and nice rewards.
That is all I would like to see. Anything else is a bonus. Anything less is still great.
I hope I don't sound too disgruntled, but I guess I am a little.
Still, I appreciate the good work the devs are up to.
