PerdonameóI mean, excuse me. I've been speaking Spanish and a little Portuguese lately as I've met others in Oberin speaking those exotic languages.
"The life lives!" I declare in (probably bad) Spanishóthe lives of my pets, that is. After a (disappointingly) promising day that ended in the death of another Surashi, I have not killed one pet since! (Fine, I came close once when I set a harpie on a gooey, but a quick return of that pet to the stable repaired that.) I may finally be getting the hang of druid combat!
With harpies, at least. My current Retorin and Surashi both are at a healthy level 6. We'll see how much my newly learned combat skills aids me when time comes to train Ponderoso, who is, I think, my most annoying pet yet. I might just see if I can't fashion some earplugs out of a roll of cloth.
Worse, Ponderoso is my slowest pet yet. I happen to like speed. I suspect this worthy sludge beast may not reside long in my stable.
Yes, sludge beast. I am now taming level 5! ÖAnd still have over a thousand invisibility potions in the bank.
Ah, well. I know clerics who like them about as much as I like greater healing potions. I've certainly been going through those (and RoPs) like wildfire, lately! (Will 5 brown RoPs last long enough for me to reach level 7 taming, do you think?)
Thanks to the good tailoring shop that provides cloth for wool, I can now proudly call myself better than any mere "Peasant" or "Citizen"óI am "Respectable," though it is with some sadness that I must confess I do not believe that shall last for long.
At any rate, Surashi and Retorin need more training if they are to reach level 8. So long!
