Tinkering

Tinkering is the craft of created complicated tools and other items, such as nails and sextants, making it a valuable skill to have for those who use other craft skills and navigation. The culmination of a tinkerer's skill is the creation of damaging traps, which when placed on another item harm those who try to pick it up, as well as harming monsters who walk over the trapped item. As the skill advances the tinkerer may place the traps with more care and in more intricate ways, making them both harder to disarm and capable of doing more damage when set off.

As with all trade skills any character class can learn tinkering without impediment.

In order to use the tinkering skill you must have tinkering tools. Items created with tinkering may require ingots, boards and nails to create, and traps require volcanic ashes.

Active Uses: Allows you to craft a variety of tools and items, including damaging traps.

Passive Attributes: Improves the damage of traps set by the tinkerer.
