Melee

The art of close combat is one practiced by many of the people of Oberin, and one that encompasses a variety of weapons. Swords, maces, axes and pole weapons all fall into this category, as do daggers. With their unique prowess in the field of combat fighters are the undisputed masters of the larger melee weapon, those highly skilled can use them to deadly effect, bringing ruin on their foes. Rogues however have mastered the use of the dagger, and are capable of inflicting a variety of deadly attacks as they spring from the shadows. Different weapons are more effective at dealing with different types of foe, and in time the wise warrior will learn what is best used when engaging certain foes. While most weapons are used with one hand poles require both, precluding the use of a shield, however fighters have learnt to parry their enemies attacks with the pole itself, affording them some of the protection they forfeit for the larger weapon. Fighters, rangers and rogues may all practice melee, though fighters are acknowledged the masters.

Active Uses: None.

Passive Uses: Increases damage with melee weapons.
