The dungeons of Oberin contain many treasures and hoards of gold, but even once the monsters guarding them have been despatched these spoils may be protected by ancient locks. Only those skilled in lockpicking have the knowledge and technique necessary to gain entry to these now keyless treasure chests.
Rogues are the undisputed masters of lockpicking, rangers can gain some very small skill with it, mages and fighters are abysmal at it.
