Welcome to Oberin!
Oberin is an online fantasy role-playing game and virtual community, available exclusively for Macintosh. Oberin takes place in a persistent, ever evolving world -- your character may come and go, but the world continuously runs.
While there are many separate quests that can be completed in Oberin, there is no ultimate goal when playing. The journey is the reward. It's an online fantasy world where the fun comes from interacting with other real players. You can join a group of fellow players to hunt for dragons, spend a quiet day fishing, meet a friend at the pub for a game of chess, or spend some time refining your chosen skills.

- Last but not least, we would like to give an honorable mention to REDMAN, whose runes sprites are going to be used, with his permission, to accompany a spell FX. I hope that's ok with you, those really look nice!
The creators of these sprites are asked to contact Jinker ASAP, so that we can add them in game.
This was definitely not an easy vote, there were so many great entries! Our expectations were blown to the roof. I'm really looking forward to the next contest now!

I am doing undergraduate research at Eastern Kentucky University with Dr. Dan Florell. We are looking for a sample for our research. We were wondering if we could use members of your website as subjects. This research will be completely anonymous. They will be just sharing their opinions about various aspects of MMORPGs.
I did the survey and I am interested to see what the results will be.
Here is the link for the survey, it takes about 20 minutes or maybe a little longer. It's not Oberin related and it's completely anonymous.

| Character Deletion Delay Reduced |

To make it easier for everyone to try out new classes before making a final choice, and in anticipation of what's to come, we decided to reduce the delay between creating a character and deleting that character from 3 days to one day (24 hours).
In order to delete one of your characters, you have to select "Request Character Deletion" in the "Management" menu of the Character Creator. If your character is more than 24 hours old, you should be able to delete it. If you encounter any problem, feel free to call a Game Master in game or to open a topic in the Support forum.
Please remember that you are only allowed to have 2 characters per account, and that it is not possible to recover a deleted character.
